Information on Mosquito Larvae
The Water Wych is a careful blend of carbons, silicates and volcanic rocks. The principle of its workings is to absorb surplus nutrients, unnecessary minerals plus any pollutants in the water, like a sponge, and hold them. Leaving the pond water soft, free from algae and generally with a water clearness you would not see in a normal garden pond.
The Water Wych’s have been filled with active material proportionate to the ratio used in the Waterlily Collection for which it was designed, therefore overdosing is not possible, any increase in quantity will possibly act more quickly and last much longer than the suggested time period.
Once the Water Wych is working in your pond the likelihood of mosquito larvae is reduced, as the mosquitos are attracted to stagnant water, not purified water. This will help reduce the risk of virus carrying mosquito damaging your health.
Once your Water Wych has absorbed all the unnecessary nutrients from your pond and has reached its full capacity, the contents can be spread on your garden where it will slowly release all the stored elements as plant food into the soil with no ill effect. The Water Wych has a shelf life of 10 years.
